Dr. Marlene Attzs is an Economics Lecturer at the University of the West Indies (UWI), St Augustine Campus, Trinidad and Tobago. She also is a respected economist and academic who has dedicated her career to studying topics relating to sustainable development within the Caribbean. Her research and policy work make her a valuable contributor and regular public commentator on national and regional socio-economic and development issues. In addition to her work at UWI, she has served on several national boards including service as Chairman of the National Productivity Council for two years, 2017 – 2019. Dr Attzs continues to serve on boards of private sector and non-governmental entities.
