Spread over three exciting days and spanning over 20 thought-provoking sessions, HRMATT’s Biennial Conference “HR Into the Metaverse”. promises to be the perfect opportunity to grow your expertise in the field of HR and to help position you as the consummate future-oriented HR professional.
Biennially, the Human Resource Management Association of Trinidad and Tobago (HRMATT) hosts a three-day H.R. Conference, drawing human resource professionals from across the Caribbean region. This year’s conference, H.R. Into the Metaverse, will be held from November 7 – 9, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency, Port of Spain, Trinidad.
HRMATT works with subject matter experts, thought leaders and visionaries to speak on HR and business related topics at one of the largest regional education and networking events for HR Professionals.
The HRMATT Conference Committee strives each year to select a lineup of first-class speakers, many who are nationally, regionally and internationally known, with the goal of allowing our attendees to hear and experience educational, informative and innovative speakers on a variety of topics.

Ram Ramesh serves as the Managing Partner for Arbinger Caribbean. The Arbinger Institute, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, has been helping leaders and organizations transform to achieve extraordinary results for over 40 years. Among their clients include Apple, Microsoft, Google, and NASA.
Ram is a Certified Arbinger Master Facilitator as well as an ICF-certified Executive Coach (PCC). He has coached and mentored a number of C-Suite executives for several leading organizations in the Caribbean. He is also a ProSci certified change practitioner.
He is a published author, international public speaker and mentor.
Ram is well known in the Caribbean as a financial and investment management specialist with over 30 years’ experience in working for some of the world’s leading companies including Citicorp, PwC and KPMG.
He holds a first degree in Applied Sciences and an MBA and is also the recipient of the coveted CFA® designation, the “Gold Standard” for investment analysts and portfolio managers the world over.

Desmond Lawrence
Mr. Desmond Lawrence is an accomplished professional with a background in Media, Education and Communications.
His voice has been heard on the airwaves of Trinidad and Tobago in radio commercials and on Music for Life 107.FM where he currently hosts the evening drive radio program, “The Oasis”.
Previously, Mr. Lawrence worked at WEFM 96.1, another frequency in the Trinidad and Tobago Radio Network (TTRN), popularly known as “OJO”. He is also a former television host and presenter.
His on-air media talents have allowed him to professionally host several corporate and cultural events, while being invited to professionally moderate numerous business seminars and webinars facilitated by local business organizations over the years.
As an Educator he has taught at all levels of the education system; Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary, including lecturing at one of the leading tertiary institutions in the region, in the departments of Mathematics and Management Science, Marketing, and Management.
Mr. Lawrence has also worked as an independent consultant for various organizations in Trinidad and Tobago in the areas of Marketing Communications and Public Relations, while he has facilitated workshops focused on Public Speaking, Effective Speaking, Business Communications, Broadcasting and Entrepreneurship. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Human Resource Management Association of Trinidad and Tobago (HRMATT), chairing the committee responsible for developing Marketing and PR Communications strategy for the association. He has contributed articles for the association’s “HRMATT Says” column in the Trinidad and Tobago Guardian Newspaper on “Innovation and HR,” and “Green Human Resource Mnagement.”
Mr. Lawrence holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from the University of the West Indies, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Edinburgh Business School, Herriot Watt University of Scotland.
He earned the professional designation of Senior Certified Professional, Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP) and is a graduate of the Valsayn Teachers College and an alum of St. Mary’s College. He also has numerous certificates in Teaching Online, Human Resource Management, Social Media and Digital Marketing Analytics and Proficiency in Spanish and French.
He gives his time freely to many community and national projects and initiatives that utilize his diverse skill-set and experience. He previously served on the Supervisory Committee of the Teachers’ Credit Union.

Charlene is the founder and Chief Engagement Officer of Conventus Consultinc, a human resource consultancy based in Trinidad and Tobago that tackles organizations’ performance problems through the provision of customized human resource solutions. For over a decade, she has supported CEOs and managers in local, regional and international companies by solving their people and performance problems, through a people-first approach in her customised leadership development and employee training programmes, talent management tools and performance improvement systems. Chalene is intentional about sparking positive change in the lives of people by harnessing their potential and supporting their growth.
Charlene is also the founder of Conversations Over Coffee with Charlene Pedro, a successful breakfast training programme that inspires leaders to make a positive impact in their workspace. Georgia Donaldson
Georgia is no stranger to HR and public speaking. She is an HR professional at the Executive level and has presented at workshops and conferences internationally.
Georgia has spent over twenty years serving individuals and organisations through her coaching, human resource, business psychology and facilitation skills and owns Corporate Options, an HR consulting firm.
Throughout Georgia’s career as an HR professional, she has served at various levels in different industries. She was the HR Manager for a law firm, the Country Chief Culture and Human Development Officer for a financial group of companies and the Chief People Officer for a large manufacturing company.
Georgia is a Behavioural Coach and a Certified Mediator through the Mediation Board of Trinidad & Tobago. She is a Senior Certified Professional (SCP-SHRM) with the Society for Human Resource Management and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Studies and a Master of Science Degree in Business Psychology.
Georgia serves as a Director on the Boards of Girls of Impact TT and The Association of Female Executives of Trinidad & Tobago and volunteers with We Say Y.E.S., a local NGO.

Alana is a senior HR Executive with 29 years of Human Resource experience and a passion for Human Resources and Learning.
She holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Human Resource Management from the University of West London and a BSc in Sociology and Management from the University of the West Indies. She has also been a certified Member of the British Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, CIPD for the last 20 years.
Alana serves as an HR Director-Global Manufacturing for the Vancouver-based Methanex Corporation with global HR oversight for six countries – Trinidad, USA, Canada, Chile, Egypt & New Zealand, on a part-time & flexible basis.
Alana also founded Harmony HR Consultancy Ltd in 2021 to provide HR support services to small and medium businesses in Trinidad.
Alana’s job history includes executive Human Resource positions at Angostura Holdings Limited & Nestle Trinidad Ltd. She also held early career positions as an HR Business Partner in the United Kingdom and at the Royal Bank of Trinidad & Tobago.
Alana was a Member of the Board of Directors of Angostura Holdings Ltd from 2019- 2023 and served as the Chairman of the HR Committee. She enjoys speaking engagements and has presented to multiple conference audiences for the Human Resources Management Association of Trinidad & Tobago (HRMATT), AMCHAM, TT Chamber, and The Employers Consultative Association (ECA) on various human resources topics.
She is also a member of the Adjunct Faculty of the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business, currently lecturing in the Masters of Human Resource programme.

Ms. Rambhajan is a certified life coach and Human Resource Professional with over twenty years’ experience. She was Vice President of the Trinidad and Tobago Blind Welfare Association (TTBWA) for just under four years. She facilitated, in 2020, through the Ministry of Education, a four-part training session for teachers, on working with children who are blind and presented at the Principal’s Leadership Webinar on the same topic. In August 2021, she did a similar session for students of UWI’s School of Dentistry. Earlier this year, she conducted a webinar for the ALJGSB on Leveraging Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Ms. Rambhajan holds a Bachelor of Arts, Upper Second-Class Honours, from the UWI, St. Augustine; a Master of Business Administration from the Heriot-Watt University; graduated with distinction from the Master of Human Resource Management Programme at ALJGSB; completed postgraduate courses for Gender Studies at UWI; and is currently an ALJGSB Doctoral Candidate.

Dr. Navi Muradali is a medical doctor with over 20 years experience in health & wellness programs.
He is the former Medical Director of Healthnet Clinics, and served as a City Medical Officer of Health in San Fernando.
Dr. Muradali was also the youngest mayor of San Fernando and was chairman of the public health committee. He is now the CEO of Patient Connect, a digital health company in the Americas focusing on chat-based care programs for employees and residents of the Caribbean and Latin America.
