Vashti G. Guyadeen

Vashti has over two decades of experience in research and development, policy design, SME development, competitiveness, and international relations. Before her role at the TTCSI, she held prominent positions in academia and the public and private sectors, including the Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business, the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce and Ministries of Energy and Public Administration. She made significant contributions namely leading Trinidad and Tobago's first entry in the World Economic Forum's "Global Competitiveness Report" in 2006 and creating the first comprehensive Energy sector statistical digest in 2010. Vashti has led projects with global development agencies like the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank, focusing on empowering businesses through research. With degrees in History, International Relations, and a diploma in Financial Markets, she is now enhancing the Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industries to be a trade in services authority. She also spearheaded the country's first national services exporters survey and portal and promotes service economy expansion and regional professional mobility in the Caribbean. Vashti holds roles in various councils and organizations such as the Shridath Ramphal Institute of the University of the West Indies, Cavehill advocating for excellence and regional collaboration, underlining her commitment to the Caribbean's prosperity and integration.
