We at the Human Resource Management Association of Trinidad and Tobago (HRMATT) are thrilled to announce our Annual LEGACY Awards 2024 ceremony, where we will recognize and celebrate the outstanding individuals and companies in the HR space, both locally and regionally. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, November 9th, at the Hyatt Regency in Port of Spain.

The importance and impact of HR on corporate sustainability, profitability, and national development are often overlooked or undervalued. Through our 3rd annual Legacy Awards, HRMATT continues to challenge this narrative. These awards, named after our founding members in recognition of their leadership, vision and exemplary contributions to the profession, shine a spotlight on the remarkable achievements of our HR colleagues, teams, and organizations during the past year (2023/2024).

Another significant highlight of this year’s Legacy Awards is the launch of the HR Hall of Fame, which is aimed at honouring HR stalwarts who have made immense and valuable contributions to the field of HR throughout their lifetimes. This year, we are proud to induct nine individuals into the Hall of Fame.

Our Annual Legacy Awards and HR Hall of Fame are to date the only major initiatives of this magnitude in the region that significantly honours HR practitioners in this way. We are very hopeful that we will be able to count on your support. We can’t wait to see you there.
