The Human Resource Management Association of Trinidad and Tobago (HRMATT) hosted a groundbreaking event, “Unmasking Strength: Men’s Mental Health in Business,” at the Humidor868 on Saturday, July 27th 2024. This pivotal discussion was also streamed live via Facebook, reaching a broader audience eager to engage in this important conversation.
The event focused on exploring the topic of men’s mental health within the context of the business landscape in Trinidad and Tobago. Among the notably distinguished panellists were Daryl Joseph, renowned psychologist and President of the International EAP Association; Joell Basanta, Senior HR Consultant and Treasurer of HRMATT; Terrin Callendar, artiste, entertainer and radio personality; Ian Haywood, Chairman of the A Class Group of Companies; and Desmond Lawrence, HRMATT’s Director of Public Relations, who skilfully moderated the discussion.
The audience heard firsthand accounts of the life experiences and daily hurdles faced by men in Trinidad and Tobago, emphasizing the crucial role of community support. The event was opened by Cindy Wilson, HRMATT’s Director of Advocacy.
